Following the successful launch of the International Conference on Advanced Nanocomposites (ICAN 2025) in Zhengzhou, China, we are delighted to welcome you to ICAN 2027, to be held in Adelaide, Australia, from 1–4 February 2027.
ICAN 2027 will be hosted by the School of Chemical Engineering, Adelaide University, together with KeAi Publishing and the journal Advanced Nanocomposites. The conference aims to provide an international platform for researchers, engineers, industry leaders and students to exchange ideas, build collaborations and discuss the latest advances in composites and nanocomposites.
ICAN 2027 will cover the design, synthesis, processing, manufacturing, characterisation, modelling and application of advanced composites and nanocomposites. Topics include polymer and cementitious nanocomposites, sustainable composites, multifunctional materials, nanoparticle surface modification, interfacial engineering, advanced manufacturing, fracture and mechanical performance, energy conversion and storage, biomedical nanocomposites, sensing, flame retardancy, barrier and thermal properties, and applications in aerospace, automotive, infrastructure, maritime, healthcare and emerging engineering sectors.
ICAN 2027 will feature plenary lectures, distinguished keynote lectures, keynote lectures, invited talks, contributed oral presentations, student presentations and poster sessions. The conference will also provide opportunities for academic networking, industry engagement and collaboration between researchers from academia and industry.
Adelaide is one of Australia’s most liveable and welcoming cities, renowned for its beautiful coastline, food, wine and outstanding research environment. We warmly welcome you to join us for ICAN 2027 and look forward to meeting you in Adelaide.
