Prof. Jaime C. Grunlan

Dr. Jaime Grunlan is the Leland T. Jordan ’29 Chair of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, with joint appointments in Materials Science and Engineering and Chemistry. His research focuses on the thermal and transport properties of polymer nanocomposites, with international leadership in super gas barrier films and environmentally benign flame-retardant nanocoatings. He serves as Editor of Journal of Materials Science and Progress in Organic Coatings, and Associate Editor of Green Materials. He became a Fellow of the American Chemical Society in 2023 and a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors in 2024.
