Prof. Fariba Dehghani

Professor Fariba Dehghani is Director of Bioengineering Research and Professor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Sydney. Her research develops advanced biomaterials, composites and nanocomposite systems for regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, medical devices, drug delivery, biosensors, nutrition and bioactive compounds. She leads multidisciplinary work linking materials engineering, nanotechnology, health and industry translation. Professor Dehghani earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering from UNSW and has held an ARC Postdoctoral Fellowship. She also directed an ARC Training Centre and has received major awards from Engineers Australia, ANZFChE and UNSW.
