Distinguished Professor Baohua Jia is a globally recognised leader in photonics, atomaterials and nanomanufacturing. She is Professor and ARC Future Fellow at RMIT University and inaugural Director of the Centre for Atomaterials and Nanomanufacturing. Her research on light–nanomaterial interactions, laser manipulation of 2D materials and ultrafast laser nanofabrication has enabled functional nanostructures and nanocomposite-related systems for clean energy, environmental purification, optoelectronics and intelligent manufacturing. She has published over 370 papers, received more than 31,000 citations and holds an H-index of 91. She is a Fellow of ATSE, Optica and IoM3, President of Global Technovation Alliance and Editor-in-Chief of npj Nanophotonics.
