Cyrille Boyer is a Scientia Professor and Australian Laureate Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney, and the Faculty of Engineering's Associate Dean (Research and Training). A former Co-Director of the Australian Centre for NanoMedicine, he is globally acclaimed for his contributions to photopolymerization, photoredox catalysis, and advanced polymer design. Cyrille focuses on translating complex macromolecular science into high-impact solutions. His work enables the creation of smart, light-responsive materials and hybrid nanoparticles that are actively shaping the future of drug delivery, medical imaging, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing. He is dedicated to advancing sustainable polymerization methods to solve critical challenges in health and materials engineering. Since 2018, he has been listed as Highly Cited Researcher by Web of Science. He has been elected as a fellow of European Academy of Sciences (elected 2021) and Australian Academy of Science (elected 2026).
